Kristan @ 1:23 AM [link]

Oh yeah, and you can view stats! ^_^
[]

Kristan @ 1:21 AM [link]

Oops, haha, I accidentally freaked Albert out there... My bad!

*unapologetic but innocent grin*

Okay, here's what I set up (i.e. messed around with):

Anyone who wants hosting here at pm.net, we'd be happy to accomodate you! I've now made it fairly simple (for all parties involved, but especially me hehe) to let you put your sites/blogs/whatevers on our webspace. As you know, CollegeNet and monstergirls*blog are already here, and I believe stones&fire is coming next. Anyone else?

If you're interested, just let me know (via AIM, email, or right here on cnet) and I'll give you instructions on how it'll work.

(NOTE: Your URL would be hosted.phuzzymath.net/whatever, but because of this wonderful thing called a redirect, you can tell people you're at www.phuzzymath.net/whatever and they'll automatically be sent to the right place anyway. You can check that out with cnet and monstergirls, because both have already been moved.)

Please guys, we're all about community, you're not imposing, we'd love it, feel free! ^_^ The more, the merrier!

Kristan @ 1:56 PM [link]

Notice: ICDSoft has just changed stats so that they are only viewable by site admins. Sorry guys! But at the end of every month I can copy the info to a file that you guys can see too, if you'd like?

WOAH JULIE'S BACK!! HEEEEEEY WELCOME WELCOME! (And by the way, if you'd like to move Stones and Fire to pm.net, we'd be happy to host you. We've got plenty of webspace left, and we like the sense of community we're trying to foster.) (But of course, you don't have to either. The offer's always open though.)

DANG Ann, WHY are you up at 4 a.m.??!? Tell Daniel to shut up and let you sleep! (Haha, just kidding, just kidding!) You're quitting Coldstone too? Why is everyone quitting now? And hey, as long as you're all quitting, you should tell your managers to advertise in the TPP again, since all of Coldstone's employees seem to come from there. (Those dopes put one insert in, reaped the benefits, i.e. hired all of you, and wouldn't advertise again. Pooey. Then again, not my problem anymore, hehe.)

Actually, I doubt I'll be getting any more piercings. Just don't want the hassle. Gotta cut my hair soon though... (Too bad I'm kind of enjoying the length. The heat & humidity makes it heavy though... Plus, I want to help those cancer patients! Yay for Locks of Love!!) I'll probably do it a little after college starts (and post pics somewhere on pm.net so you all can see, 'cause I know you're all just holding your breath until I do).

Kristan @ 11:56 PM [link]

Okay, my three cents (hey, I wasn't on the Three Penny Press for nothing, yo):

Cartilage piercings are cool. (Cartilage refers to the upper part of the ear, for those who don't know, *cough cough Mengfei cough cough* hehe, sorry to single you out.) I always wanted one, especially so I could get a cuff or a stud with a chain link to the regular earring at the lobe. BUT, I've grown tired of my own regular lobe piercings (I just put loops in them every now and then to keep them from closing up), so I don't think I'll do any more piercings, just 'cause I'm pretty sure I'd get tired of them too.

I always kind of wanted another piercing, in ONE of these five places: cartilage, nose, bellybutton, eyebrow, or tongue. Of those, cartilage or bellybutton is most probable, since they're least noticeable (if you want to conceal them). And yeah, I think most guys would prefer the bellybutton -- some sort of strange turn on? *shrug* But I feel like the selection you have with those rings must be kind of limited. I mean, you certainly wouldn't want elaborate dangly thingies there!

Completely changing subjects, can you believe that for my fall class schedule I start EVERY morning, Mon-Fri, bright and early at 8:30, with....

*dun dun dun*

PHYSICS?!??!?!

@_@
O_o
o_O
X_X

Yeah...

(Oh yeah, and aren't all the colors on this site so pretty?! I love coming here and scrolling and seeing all the different colors, hehe. Shh, I'm a dork, lemme alone.)

Kristan @ 5:41 PM [link]

Okay guys, call me a dork, but I always think this is really really interesting: PHUZZYMATH.NET STATS!! ^_^

So apparently the lyrics to Josh Kelly's "Amazing" are the biggest hit-getter for pm.net. About 22% of the people who find this site by searching the web for something find us because of that song. (In fact, most of our random traffic comes from people looking for lyrics, especially Daniel Bettingfield and Jason Mraz.)

And just fyi, people have been looking for us. Or at least, some of us. (Stalkers, I'm telling you!) Most popular has been Ann [last name omitted here but included in search string] (with 8 people looking for your blog and 1 just looking for you), followed by Kristan [same deal with the last name] (with 3 people looking for just my first name, so maybe not me, and 1 with the last name), as well as Olivia, Pujan, and Mengfei (though it may have been a different one, because the following word could have been a Chinese last name or a musical term).

Oh, and one of the more recent search strings, a personal favorite: "victor helped a girl think up pick up lines to tell derek" ^_^

Hehehe, okay, I'm cracking up, anyway.

Angie @ 10:34 PM [link]

i have to argue
i thought the idea of a sendoff was nice
but that was the most pointless event i've ever attended
yes, i agree the food provided was pretty worthy
but my gosh, to listen to the same people drone on with recycled speeches?
learned nothing new too
the only good thing was seeing friends and meeting new friends

now if all the faculty and staff had worn burnt orange business suits
that would have been a good investment of my time

i'm also getting pretty pissed about one thing for college
why does every gosh forsaken thing require that you pay gobs of money
it's ridiculous b/c you have to pay to do things you are required to do
sure tuition is cheap, but they know how to make up for it
and the fact that they have all this 'free' stuff to get rid of, i mean give away, bothers me too
a lot of it the school had to pay for, why did they waste the money there
(i'm not complaining about the pens though, you know how it is kristan)

other than that, count me planned and excited

and i hope stefifi did have a happy birthday
(please see my site for request,
and please would you burn damien rice for me?)
[]

Kristan @ 9:19 PM [link]

Happy birthday Stef! Hope you had a good one!

Actually, Adam, yes, I do have a calling card you can use if you need it. Do you?

rose @ 11:50 PM [link]

haha thanks stephanie :]
man, i missed the free stuff?? haha oh well. yeah i don't think i feel like going to camp texas. another 125 out of my pocket? i think not...
[]

rose @ 3:12 PM [link]

how was the send-off?

Kristan @ 11:09 PM [link]

LOL wow, although I'd love to take credit for that, I haven't given him your email address yet, so I guess someone else did.

Omg, Steph, that free food from clubs idea is GREAT! Haha, I love it. ^_^ And btw, I think Angie's going to the send-off tomorrow night too.
[]

justin @ 12:28 PM [link]

Well, this dork is also going to the UT sendoff thing. Hey, anything for a free meal. It's something I better be doing more often in college. And I got into an all-guys dorm. Still contemplating whether that's a good or bad thing.

I still have to see all the good movies. Matrix, Nemo, Pirates....

Oh, and thanks to Albert for hosting the party. Good food, good music (though I didn't dance much), it was still fun seeing everyone again.
[]

Kristan @ 10:36 AM [link]

Awww, Ann, are you okay?!

I don't know the answer to your question about love -- my optimism is screaming YES! -- but yeah, happiness is definitely getting a new book.

(Btw, H talked to Daniel yesterday about the tutoring thing, so that's one communication route possibility, hehe. But I'll give him your email address, too.)

Ladeeda, Kristan doesn't have housing. Whoopee. (Nor did she get her AP scores. Punks.)

She did get a lot of freaking mosquito bites though! <_>

Steff, I heard Rhett Miller at Astroworld of all places, haha, but yeah, he does have major "swoon-itude." ^_^

So who's up for some good old-fashioned Sunday Soccer?! Angie and I reeeeally want to play at Herod on Sunday evenings like we all used to. Any takers?

rose @ 1:09 PM [link]

oh my gosh, Pirates of the Caribbean was soooooooooo good. maybe i'm the only one who thought so, but i think i'm going to go see it again.
orlando bloom was like the classic hero. not to mention mad sexy.
and johnny depp kicked so much ass, he was my favorite character...

"you are, without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
"Ah, but you have heard of me."

i liked the music, too.

rawr! :D hope everyone is having a good day.

100 a day?? man, that's twice as many hits as i get.
[]

Kristan @ 12:26 AM [link]

I think it's roughly 100 per day? Not sure exactly. (The stats are a little unclear about that.)

Sorry Steph & Angie, not a big fan of your Damien Rice. (I've listened to "Volcano" and "The Blower's Daughter".) But I DO love "Come Around" by Rhett Miller! And Switchfoot's "You," "Only Hope," and "Learning to Breathe." And Vienna Teng is just the shizznit, yo!! (Vanessa Carlton but with more elegance and less... pop style. Sooooooo purdee!!)

Thanks for the REMIX party, you guys! I had a great time(s). (Came, left, came back.) ^_^

Gah, my college stuff is all screwy. I don't think I have it very together. I went to good ole BHS to pick up my immunization records, and it turns out I don't have any of the ones I needed (I do have six other types of vaccines though), so I have to get four more shots, I think. AND I finally took that 2-3 hr calculus test. (However, I accidentally reset the clock, so I look smart 'cause it only took me 1 hr and 23 min. Or at least, I WOULD have looked smart if I'd gotten any answers right, haha.) And my schedule and housing assignments are supposed to be given tomorrow, but CMU messed something up (I'm not in the right program as of right now) so I think (& HOPE) those are going to change soon.

BAH I'm a mess. Ah well...

How's everyone else doing? ^_^
[]

rose @ 12:12 AM [link]

thanks stephanie!!

i'm living in kinsolving. hmm. mixed feelings about that.

[]

Saturday, July 12, 2003

Kristan @ 3:12 PM [link]

Oh my gosh, *laughing hysterically* someone actually typed "jae lingerie" into a search engine and found phuzzymath.net!!

Apparently we're also a fairly popular group blog. This is the most visited page at pm.net. *eyes everyone suspiciously* Alright, which one of you has stalkers?

Kristan @ 8:01 PM [link]

Hey, yeah, I got bored and made a banner...

Also, I removed BGH because it's, uh, dead. What about Guys & Graffiti and X'03? Are they still going? (Most recent posts are kinda old...)

Just trying to clean house.

(And, sidenote of frustration: CAN YOU BELIEVE CMU WANTS ME TO TAKE A 2-3 HR CALCULUS TEST ONLINE BEFORE I CAN SCHEDULE MY COURSES??!?! Yeah, this is what I get for wanting to double-major in compsci... *grumble grumble*)
[]

Angie @ 11:50 AM [link]

[]

Kristan @ 11:39 AM [link]

All fixed! ^_^ Yay, I rock. Haha, just kidding. But uh, yeah, I don't know what was wrong. *shrug* I just changed a setting, and voila!

And, okay, uh, Michael, that link was... nasty. That's all I can say.

What are you doing this summer anyway? (I mean, can't be THAT important if you're looking up that kind of stuff, right? Hehe.) No, but seriously, I'm just curious.
[]

Kristan @ 10:28 AM [link]

Uh, Michael ("Mikey") alerted me to a little problem with publishing, so I'm going to try and fix it now. Thanks for your patience.

Welcome back Olivia!

Thanks for the invite, I can't go (nephew's here so we have to entertain him) but I know a few people who are going to. Think they can still manage the fireworks through all this rain? ^_^ Hehe, guess we'll see.

Angie @ 10:32 PM [link]

since this is college net (gasp!), i thought i post this (another gasp, i post here?!):

i had fun at orientation, had an awesome roommate from harlingen
planning my schedule was poopy, no other word to describe that night, blech
but registering was fun, getting there an hour early and all
met a cool dude, using the phone is less stressful
now i'm taking, for those who read this, two fish seminars--may drop one, intro to jew. hist/cult---don't ask, microecon, intro to journalism

i am excited about college, i know most people saw me as well, poopy
but now i'm a little excited, well the learning and making new friends part
sad still about leaving a lot of things and ugh, community baths.....

transferring to communications in spring, i think that's helped me become excited
b/c i get to make a kick ass portfolio, and it's let me set a goal plan
i'm very work oriented, i plan to stay that way b/c i want to make a living

(isn't damien rice awesome? btw fifi, i need to return your skirt
i heard about damien rice from listening to npr, yes that's right, national public radio)
