saw it on mtv u, i say we fly him to a third world country and drop him there. Then maybe he would appreciate what our soldiers are fighting to protect.

Despite my firm belief that if men have to register for draft, so should women, -- or they both shouldn't have to -- I just know that military life is not for me. For so many reasons, I don't think I could handle it.

For others, though, it definitely provides wonderful experiences and opportunities.

All good things come with costs, though. Risks.

Like Q, I'd be much more interested in the intel side of service to our country.

Armed services...No. Sorry just no. Afghanistan no because that is also something we cant win. Iraq definately not. I dont see my life as a toy and just get sent to another country to get killed. I also never want to kill another person. The only way I would volunteer would be in intelligence, never a soldier, just couldnt do it.

He was an admirable man, from what I knew. Too bad he's the only one that some people truly mourn. Too bad it takes a famous one to get the others noticed.

Hey, when is everyone coming home?

Here's what we need this summer guys:

- REMIX parties
- soccer Sundays
- sports watching-ness (I semi-volunteer my house, since we have a monstrously large TV and a mommy that likes to feed people, but I should probably check first)
- mass movie-going

What else?

I am so looking forward to seeing all y'all again. : )

Angie @ 6:40 PM [link]

my parents and i talk ever so often
we call each other when we want
my family came up this weekend to basically do some more condo shopping
and it was nice to see them, but it really drew light on shifts
it's true, college is about sort of establish your own ground
next year i will be living in my own place
and well, i'm going to learn to be independent
my sister will have to learn too
there is so much more support now from my parents, because i'm on my own
working and doing my own thing, they can't be my parents like they were in elementary, middle or high school
sometimes, i wonder, if i am anything they can be proud of

how many people worry about the future?
---------
i'm so glad i got to talk to you mengfei!
(can't wait for the pictures)

Happy birthday Mengfei!!

I talk to my mom every two or three days via phone, and my dad every one or two days on AIM (yes, my dad uses AIM, hehehe). It's nicer than I expected, to contact them a lot. Some of my friends think I'm crazy, but my roomie talks to her parents on the phone every other day or so, and she talks to them like they're one of us, so... *shrug* Can't be that weird.

The guy who wrote Mystic River, the book the movie is based on, is a CMU Creative Writing grad. : )

i just saw eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
it is one of the best movies i have ever seen
you must all see eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd;

Hmm I learned something interesting today, not sure if its true but it could possibly be. My friend said that his proffesor said that Sadam was caught long before they announced it on the video and what not. He says this because in the background of the tape they showed trees in full bloom, but he said those type of trees are only in bloom in summer and spring and not winter. Makes you ponder...

smoking is stupid- it pollutes, it destroys, it annoys, it kills, it eats your money, it's dirty, it makes breathing a labor.

let's go to the beach this summer. and let's go swimming a lot. let's have fun.
