so in case you guys haven't heard, 18 universities (including mine) are being subpeonaed by the RIAA (bastards). 25 students at each university will be sued. (i know three of them here.) sux0rs. but yeah, be careful about using p2p programs, even i2hub (that's what the three i know were using). DO NOT LET PEOPLE UPLOAD. i know that sounds pretty crappy/hypocritical -- if no one uploaded, where would we get the stuff -- but honestly, those who are willing and able to take the risks are free to. those who can't afford it, shouldn't.
hydration can hurt you: by diluting your sodium levels, drinking too much (even/especially while exercising) can cause brain damage, and even death (though i think it's pretty hard to get to that)
also, does anyone know if adam is still alive? i haven't heard from him in a while

hah, i bet mr. clark is having a field day with this one: wife and daughter of Tom DeLay, the House majority leader, have been paid more than $500,000 since 2001 by Mr. DeLay's political action and campaign committees
LOL and this doesn't sound shady at all! "Mr. DeLay's national political action committee, Americans for a Republican Majority, or Armpac, said in a statement on Tuesday that the two women had provided valuable services to the committee in exchange for the payments"...
(okay, i'm not honestly saying there might not be legitimate reasons for these "payroll" payments. i'm just saying that, at the very least, it looks horrible. and i bet mr. clark is making fun of it a lot.)
also: for politicians, do you think there's a big difference between "illegal" and "inappropriate"? (in other words, should they be holding themselves to higher standards? is being technically inside the lines of the law good enough? we're addressing this question in my 20th century america history class too; very interesting stuff, that watergate scandal. woodward and bernstein's book all the president's men is pretty darn good. yay reading!)
edit [apr 7 @ 5:39 p.m., while a fire alarm is annoyingly going off in my dorm -- i love how neither my roommate nor i moved at all, didn't even flinch, didn't even stop typing, when it started]:
more on mr. tom delay, this time an editorial about how even republicans may be starting to think he's out of control
(haha, i love "Of course, Dr. Frist and the White House still want to pack the federal courts with right-wing judges, but they don't want it to look as if they're doing it because Tom DeLay told them to or because of unhappiness at the Schiavo case.")
